Detecting Moto V3x in Mobile Phone Tools

I have Vista beta 2, and my V3x is not recognised during install of MPT. Updating the phone list fails. I'm connecting with USB.
Anyone got their V3x working in Vista?

Ok, Motorola phone tools is a no go for me...
but after about 3 hours of hacking I finally have a connection to the phone.
step 1) Find and install motorola_drivers_29
step 2) Install motorola PST
step 3) Setup P2KMAN
step
4) Plug phone in and try to force driver install (MULTIPLE TIMES!!!!!!)
step 5) Use ADD HARDWARE in the control panel (sooner or later you will start to see some of the driver components here)
step 6) Restart PC
step 7) Start over at step 4 untill you have installed all of the drivers (I think I had to install 7 or 8 for this to work.)
I Can charge my V3 by USB, edit files with either PST or P2KMAN, and I can see the phone as a modem by both USB and Bluetooth.
But the motorola phone tools app still eludes me, I can get it to recognize the V3 by manually adding it as a bluetooth device under phone tools, However the app STILL refuses to communicate with the phone...

Check your Windows\System32\drivers folder and see if you have the usbser.sys file.

hi shaun
can you see the phone in the device manager or may be you have a unknown device listed ? don`t try to install the motorola driver they don`t work, the drivers that are in stalled on my system for the motorola v3x are from microsoft thats why you neeed to do the install from the device manager and search the hard drive for them .
hope this helps darbsoz
